THE NIGHT BEFORE GO LIVE

‘Twas the night before Go Live, and all through the halls,

The staffers were placing the COWS in their stalls.

All monitors blinking – they needed some rest,

The Build was now over, is Prod up to the test?

The patients were nestled all snug in their beds,

While digitized records danced in their heads;

When down in the ER there arose such a clatter,

Hollys sprang from her office to see what was the matter.

Cindy said, “Call Sue – it’s the PYXIS gone crazy!”

Lauren cried “robots?”, but her thoughts were still hazy.

Jill then appeared – presenting a rash –

Up from the Clinic where she’d made a mad dash,

“Our COWS have escaped – we must call the Sheriff!”

(Without Meaningful Use, we’ll need a new tariff),

Call Nathan in Kooskia – maybe he’s seen them?

Without all those COWS, Go Live will be mayhem.

Lisa and Betty – they’re both such great guys –

Provided the search party with some supplies,

While Janice and Katy ran reports from EmPower,

The COWS were found having one last happy hour.

Yvonne will know how to rev up those cattle,

To get them corralled for tomorrow night’s battle.

Cerner will join us, as we begin prov’in,

That Syringa knows how to get an EHR MOOO-vin!

Then Darla appeared, to say beaming and bright,

“Happy GO LIVE to all, and to all a GOOD-night!”
